This conference aims to gather the highest-level scientific experts in the field of carbon storage in wood products and how this should be accounted for under the Kyoto Protocol. There will be 3 sessions:
1. Science on how much carbon is stored in wood-based products.
2. How could a carbon credit system be set up on the basis of this scientific evidence in such a way that it is to the benefit of the woodworking industries?
3. Develop a global action plan in support of HWP towards the COP 15 conference with all partners in the wood value chain.
