The Intensive Seminar on the European Union - Advanced Programme is a 2-week training programme providing professionals with in-depth knowledge and practical skills on EU decision-making and policies. With a focus on latest developments and practice-oriented insights, the seminar aims to improve participants’ professional skills and performance when working on EU affairs.
The seminar has been organised for 17 years in the College of Europe’s Bruges campus and is the flagship programme among the Development Office’s professional training courses on EU affairs

Each year the Intensive Seminar attracts highly motivated professionals from some 30 countries worldwide with diverse backgrounds but one common interest: EU affairs. Among them are civil servants of national administrations and EU institutions, public affairs practitioners, managers from private companies, representatives from NGOs and associations, lawyers and academics. This diverse group of participants represents one of the seminar’s most valuable assets bringing to the discussion very different perspectives, expectations and experiences of the EU.
