Location of event
The exhibition showcases twenty Slovenian artists whose work places them in the field of contemporary investigative art. Each artist is presented on a billboard featuring scenes and motifs from their principal projects.
The selected artists represent a cross-section of the art scene in Slovenia , which saw its first major presentation at an international art festival at Ars Electronica in Linz , the most important festival at the intersection of new technologies, art and society. The exceptional reception from the international public in Linz led to the decision to scale down the presentation for smaller exhibition areas and promote this extraordinary moment in Slovenian artistic creativity.
The featured artists topicalize the impact of science and technology on contemporary society and critically examine the meanings and values springing forth all around us. Poetic interpretations of phenomena invite us to reflect on individual issues and better understand contemporaneity, which is literally changing before our very eyes.
The musical background to the opening will be provided by Tomaž Grom, who will be performing on double bass, computer and electronics.
