The City of Badalona / Reactivació Badalona, ACTE and the Gremi de Indústries de Confecció de Barcelona organise the second edition of Badalona Moda, featuring the "Joaquim Mercader Competition for Young Fashion Designers" and a Business Encounter between designers and entrepreneurs on 13 and 14 July.
On 13 July will take place the Business Encounter of Textile Firms and Designers, where the business people will have the opportunity to see fashion collection of the 25 finalists, ask for an appointment with the designers and visit their stands.
On the framework of this event, the second edition of the "Joaquim Mercader Competition for Young Fashion Designers" will take place on 14 July in the City of Badalona. The objects of the competition are to seek out and promote the work of young talents by presenting the work of the finalists in the catwalk.
This year the "Joaquim Mercader Competition for Fashion Young Designers" is open to fashion design students attending the final year and fashion designers graduated within the last two years. Designs will be judged on the basis of these three parameters: creativity and vanguard, commercial viability and material processing.
