Cathelineau heads Thales' EU and NATO Affairs
Marc Cathelineau has been appointed Vice President European Union & NATO at Thales group, a global firm working for the aerospace, space, defence, security and transportation markets. He replaces Jean-Christophe Esculier, who is leaving Brussels for a new position in Paris.

Cathelineau joined Thomson-CSF in 1982 where he held different positions in HR, finance and development. In 1994, he created TCI Compensation, where he served as Chairman and CEO until 2008. Between 1999 and 2002, he also worked as Director of International Development (international partnerships, mergers & acquisitions operations) of Thales International (Thomson-CSF’s new name).

In 2002, he was given the additional role of Vice President International Development and Financing (€27Bn projects managed by 2007). As such, he was responsible for financing business development for the Thales Group (PFI, PPP, concessions).

Appointed Vice President Corporate Marketing & Sales in 2008, he oversaw Thales Group’s order intakes, managed external client relationship organisation with Countries and Divisions and the internal Thales Sales & Marketing Job Family.
