Jan Kozlowski has been appointed as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) representing the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats). He takes the post left vacant by Janusz Lewandowski, who was appointed Budget and Financial Programming Commissioner in Commission President Barroso’s new Commission.

Kozlowski graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technical University of Gdansk, and has spent a number of recent years on the board of the Euroregion Baltic group.
