Middle East expert joins APCO in Brussels
Former Public Affairs News editor Jolyon Kimble has joined APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office as Associate Director. He comes to APCO after serving as Director of the Middle East, Africa and Asia region for Sovereign Strategy, where he led on clients including Kuwait National Petroleum Company and MWH.

"APCO has amazing clients and a body of experts that is unrivalled in Brussels," said Managing Director Paolo Nicoletti. "Jolyon’s Middle East experience and his media skills give him a unique understanding of the balance between commercial and reputational demands, and we know our clients will benefit from that valuable perspective. Jolyon will really help to add a further dimension to our press and communications offer, bringing a wealth of stakeholder engagement, campaigning and reputation management abilities."

Prior to his work with Sovereign Strategy, Kimble was editor of global government relations and public affairs magazine Public Affairs News. He also served as chief political correspondent for the political website ePolitix.com. He began his career with The House Magazine.

Earlier this year, Kimble spoke on political communication at the Communication on Top Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and he was appointed to the organising committee for the Davos Forum in 2011. He also addressed the Association for Consultancy and Engineering at their meeting last year in Abu Dhabi on the subject of lobbying in the Gulf countries.

Kimble is joined in APCO’s Brussels office by several other recent hires. Senior associate Bruno Macedo, former project manager for DG MOVE/ Trans-European Transport Network Executive Agency, brings expertise in transport. The team also welcomes new associates Amélie Coulet, former analyst for Euromonitor International; Aleksandra Krygiel-Nael, former account manager for Lefebvre Hanneman; Antonio Dai Pra, former European affairs consultant with European Consulting Brussels; and Francis Boeynaems, European affairs consultant with KEA European Affairs.
