On the 4th of June, 2010 Tobias Bachmüller was elected by the Bundesverbandes der Deutschen Süßwarenindustrie (BDSI) (Association of the German Confectionary Industry) for a two year term as Vice-President to the European confectionary association CAOBISCO- Association of Chocolate, Biscuit and Confectionery Industries of Europe.

Prior to assuming his position with CAOBISCO, Bachmüller was Managing Director of Katjes Fassin Gmbh & Co in Germany. He was also Vice-president of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Süßwarenindustrie (BDSI), the German Confectionery Association. He succeeds Dr. Dietmar Kendziur, of Ferrero Deutschland GmbH.
