Benjamin Krieger, previously press officer to the delegation of German Liberal Members of the European Parliament, joined hanover Brussels as senior consultant on 1 April. He will provide advice on European policy and regulatory developments as well as on advocacy and communication strategies. Benjamin has five years of experience in EU public affairs. Prior to joining hanover Brussels Benjamin worked as press officer for a delegation of Members of the European Parliament, with responsibility for devising and executing the group’s communication strategy.

Beforehand, he gained in depth experience in EU policy formulation as political and communications advisor to a German MEP and longstanding member of the EP’s Environment and Industry Committees. He worked on a variety of EU policy issues with a special focus on energy, environmental and financial services legislation. Benjamin is a journalist by training, having worked for the Leipziger Volkszeitung before moving to Brussels.

He graduated in journalism from the University of Leipzig and speaks fluent German, English and French.
